These brand concepts were created in a 3 day design sprint for Hoala.
Hoala is a new dating app centred around well being, for people who want to make meaningful connections through social experiences that are not centered around drinking.
I was involved in the naming workshop for this brand, the name Hoala is a Hawaiian word which means self-awakening. The brand concepts are all based around the theme of inner wellbeing.
Concept 1: Is the theme of a new age dawning, from darkness into light.
Concept 2: The marble icon represents layers, like the depth of a person.
Concept 3: This animated wordmark represents life balance and elements coming into alignment.
Concept 4: Represents coming to life, a world coming into colour.
Concept 5: Symbols represent each pillar of wellness, these combined would create the brand motif.
Concept 6: A simple word mark inspired by Japanese zen gardens representing a well life in order.
